"You better buy this boy's book or else, I will get my purse. Yes, I will show you, peace be still. Or more like a piece of steal. Trust me, you don't know nah' grandma."
There are people who can walk away from you. And hear me when I tell you this When people can walk away from you: let them walk.
I don't want you to try to talk another person into staying with you, loving you, calling you, caring about you, coming to see you, staying attached to you. I mean hang up the phone.
When people can walk away from you let them walk. Your destiny is never tied to anybody that left.
People leave you because they are not joined to you. And if they are not joined to you, you can' t make them stay. Let them go.
And it doesn't mean that they are a bad person, it just means that their part in the story is over. And you've got to know when people's part in your story is over so that you don't keep trying to raise the dead.
You've got to know when it's dead. You've got to know when it's over. Let me tell you something I've got the gift of good-bye. It's the tenth spiritual gift, I believe in good-bye.
It's not that I'm hateful, it's that I'm faithful, and I know whatever God means for me to have He'll give it to me. And if it takes too much sweat I don't need it. Stop begging people to stay. Let them go!!
If you are holding on to something that doesn't belong to you and was never intended for your life, then you need to ..LET IT GO!!!
If you are holding on to past hurts and pains ... LET IT GO!!!
If someone can't treat you right, love you back, and see your worth... LET IT GO!!!
If someone has angered you ... LET IT GO!!!
If you are holding on to some thoughts of evil and revenge ... LET IT GO!!!
If you are involved in a wrong relationship or addiction ... LET IT GO!!!
If you are holding on to a job that no longer meets your needs or talents .. LET IT GO!!!
If you have a bad attitude... LET IT GO!!!
If you keep judging others to make yourself feel better... LET IT GO!!!
If you're stuck in the past and God is trying to take you to a new level in Him... LET IT GO!!!
If you are struggling with the healing of a broken relationship.... LET IT GO!!!
If you keep trying to help someone who won't even try to help themselves.. LET IT GO!!!
If you're feeling depressed and stressed . LET IT GO!!!
If there is a particular situation that you are so used to handling yourself and God is saying 'take your hands off of it,' then you need to...LET IT GO!!!
Let the past be the past. Forget the former things. GOD is doing a new thing for 2008 !!! LET IT GO!!!
Get Right or Get Left .. think about it, and then LET IT GO!!!

"16) You will know them by their fruits.Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles? 17.) Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18.) A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. 19.) Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20.) Therefore by their fruits you will know them." (Matthew 7:16-20 NKJV)
"The active mind replete with encyclopedic knowledge has always excited me, and when that brain is in the possession of a man, no matter what he looks like, I have found myself stirred physically and romantically." -MAYA ANGELOU, Even the Stars Look Lonesome Photo by: Michelle Forbes (Brampton, Ontario)
“For one to realize who they are and act on the realization, in hopes to bring about a positive self purifying result, is truly awesome. When loved ones are there to witness the inception of your germination, the transition is made easier.”- DREW L. HINDS JR 2008
Drew L. Hinds, Jr., a driven young man whose inner being radiates passion, and a deep level of insight.Within the expanse of his geographical area, he has been described as compassionate and sincere, jovial yet professional, intelligent yet modest, and these are a few of the qualities that make him admirable.Drew has the aptitude to operate in the capacity of a mentor, songwriter, vocalist, freelance photographer, self-taught pianist, and author (debut book being Don’t Spoil Your Appetite, Volume 1).In the form of vocation, Drew has served his country in the Military for eight years, where he acquired an Army Achievement Medal, and is currently a Police Officer in Florida, having achieved a Bureau Commendation.
Born in Brooklyn, New York, in the year of 1977, Drew’s life took a turn of events, as he had to deal with the death of his father, Andrew L. Hinds, Sr., at the tender age of two. This loss would prove to be the pivotal moment in which he culminated his relationship with the Lord, as he realized that he needs Him to be his Earthly Father as well as his Heavenly Father.Drew expresses his memory of God being his ‘imaginary friend/ daddy,’ therefore making God his daddy, how awesome. The protection and consolation he receives from his “God Daddy,” has given him the desire to be there for some other child. In fact Drew is affectionately called by many children “God Daddy Drew,” as he has bridged the gap by allowing himself to be God’s instrumental tool of encouragement, and pure untainted love for these children.Taking up this responsibility, not having any children of his own until his recent marriage, one can say this young man surely posses the quintessence of selflessness.
“Live the dream, write the vision,” is the motto that Drew lives by, and the disciplined method in which he deals with his goals. His deepest endeavor is to enlighten those who have lost hope, as he himself has been a victim of the same, recovered by God and through self-motivation.Some of the mediums by which he accomplishes this task are through:
Music- inspired by spiritual revelations, relational lessons, communal dreams, and life-impacting memories.
Writing- using fictitious accounts which reflect the situations in life which he feels personal sympathy towards, while provoking empowered thoughts in the reader.Henceforth having the words he pen being a written testament of his philosophy.
Photography- capturing a specific moment in time, displaying life in its simplicities and complexities through his eyes.
Drew draws his awareness for these lessons, from his passion for life in its fullness. “Life is “One extended Song…,” he states as he commences the lyrics to a song that express the continuity of “life lessons” taught through the different situations and circumstances that we face daily. His “lessons learned” have been the catapulting events that have helped him to be the man he is today, as they have shaped and allowed him to “define” himself.Being able to appreciate every line in his extend song, has allowed him to hold the correct note long enough for someone else to catch it.In essence, life has been his School, and God his teacher. After a few corrections, he has grasped the concept, and is now ready to share that knowledge with others.
Having achieved a cardinal level of contentment with himself, others have been given the opportunity to respect and appreciate him as well.An inspiration and mentor to young people, he has helped to raise the self-esteem of others, as he has taught them how to believe in themselves. In addition to the aforementioned accomplishments, Drew has pressed pass the odds, and risen above disappointments, to accomplish the major feat of completing his first Singles Relationship / Ministry Help Book at the age of 30.
It can truly be said that this young man is talented, gifted and chosen by God, to leave a positive impact on all whom he comes in contact with. His ultimate aspiration is to be remembered for what he stands for, and for who he is (having them being one in the same).
